He was a life-long friend of Maurice Ravel, and is known for his transcriptions of the works of that composer and also of those of Claude Debussy. he was in the audience at the first performance of Pelleas et Melisande. Lucien Garban died in 1959. Transcribed for two pianos by Lucien Garban. this is a reprint of the 1919 Durand edition.
