Composer's Description. Whether a student or a great artist, the desire to make a beautiful sound is a constant in the life of any musician. Sound is the musician's voice, the means of communicating an artistic vision to the audience and it should be the aim for children of any age or standard to be engaged in good tone production. The inspiration for writing these pieces came to me from the wish to give the young children I teach music which would develop their ear for both good intonation and beautiful tone production. All the pieces have a strongly implied harmonic structure allowing them to be played without accompaniment. The purpose of the second violin part is therefore to enable the teacher to underline the harmony as well as to influence the student's tone production and intonation through his own sound, as much can be taught by good example. Finally I think that children enjoy the challenge of expressing different moods and emotions musically, and I hope that the range of ideas implied by the keys and the titles of these pieces will fire their imagination.

Descripció del Compositor. Si un estudiant o un gran artista, el desig de fer un so bonic és una constant en la vida de qualsevol músic. El so és la veu del músic, els mitjans de comunicació d'una visió artística a l'audiència i que ha de ser l'objectiu per als nens de qualsevol edat o nivell que han d'intervenir en la bona producció de to. La inspiració per escriure aquestes peces em va venir del seu desig de donar als nens petits als quals ensenyo música que desenvoluparia la seva oïda tant per al bé entonació i la producció de to bell. Totes les peces tenen una estructura harmònica fortament implícita que els permet ser jugat sense acompanyament. Per tant, l'objectiu de la segona part del violí és permetre al professor per subratllar l'harmonia, així com per influir en la producció de to de l'estudiant i l'entonació a través del seu propi so, com a molt es pot ensenyar amb l'exemple. Finalment crec que els nens gaudeixen el desafiament d'expressar diferents estats d'ànim i emocions musicalment, i espero que la gamma d'idees que impliquen les claus i els títols d'aquestes peces es dispararà la seva imaginació.
