Arranged here for String Quartet by Carlo Martelli , this overture by G. F. Handel was commissioned to mark the occasion of the signing of the peace treaty which brought the War Of The Austrian Succession to an end in 1748. The piece magnificently captures the celebratory mood which the music is intended to convey. Score only.
