Lletres: Paul Baribeau. The Good Life.
I wish I was a bumble-bee
I wish I lived to love my queen
Fly from flower to flower all day
I'd dance if I had something to say
Everybody working just to feed our queen
It's such a simple and honest community
Not fame and money, Just making honey
I wish that I could make something so sweet.
I wish I was a mountain goat
I wish I didn't know the all the things I know
I'd eat alpine flowers for lunch each day
Take naps in the sun in some secret place
Up high on the peaks all covered in snow
And in the valleys where no one else can go
What some people call nature I would call my home
And I'd never have to hear another telephone
I wish that I could be them both
Anything's better than being a ghost
I wish I was a lion
I wish nobody ever had to die
I wish I was a lion
I wish nobody ever had to die
I wish I lived to love my queen
Fly from flower to flower all day
I'd dance if I had something to say
Everybody working just to feed our queen
It's such a simple and honest community
Not fame and money, Just making honey
I wish that I could make something so sweet.
I wish I was a mountain goat
I wish I didn't know the all the things I know
I'd eat alpine flowers for lunch each day
Take naps in the sun in some secret place
Up high on the peaks all covered in snow
And in the valleys where no one else can go
What some people call nature I would call my home
And I'd never have to hear another telephone
I wish that I could be them both
Anything's better than being a ghost
I wish I was a lion
I wish nobody ever had to die
I wish I was a lion
I wish nobody ever had to die
