1902 was the year of publication of the 1st concerto, 1911 of the 2nd ?... (will look into this again. A summary description of a recording of the 2nd concerto claims it was composed in 1909. The program notes by Jacques Tchamketten give "probably" begun in early 1909 (and premiered in November 1909). The title "Violin Concerto No.2" originates with the publisher and does not appear on any of the manuscripts; so far as the composer was concerned the work was entitled "Poème".
